Tesv Exe 0xc00000ba Hatas

Originally posted by:Just something I've noticed: A lot of people seem to think that it has to be exactly 'TESV.EXE.' On a lot of computers, such as mine, games and programs don't have that.exe ending, and so for some it will just simply be 'TESV.' That is because Windows defaults to hiding the extension of files it knows about - they seem to think it makes things simpler or more friendly for users, but it really just results in unnecessary confusion. I highly recommend that everyone turn off that mis-feature.

May 31, 2012  TESV.exe is suddenly missing? » Thu May 31, 2012 4:49 am. Okay, suddenly this: wanted to play Skyrim but I can't: suddenly TESV.exe is just not there anymore??? I did not remove it or what ever. All I did last was 2 days ago to set Steam not to update Skyrim automaticly. Did a search and it nowhere to be found on my system anymore?

To show or hide file name extensions • Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options. • Click the View tab, and then, under Advanced settings, do one of the following: Show or hide file name extensions - Windows Help.

Since FNV we've had to use the launcher to play the game, this mod or well file is a simple text file named 'steam_appid.txt' which contains Skyrim's AppID 72850 once placed inside Skyrim's folder TESV.exe can be launched directly and no more using the launcher to play the game, yay!:D You can simply open up Notepad and create a 'steam_appid.txt' containing the number 72850, or just download the zip I've included and extract the TXT file and put it beside TESV.exe, refer to screenshot if confused. This has worked for me on both games, enjoy!
